A unique research project on Red Sea fish immigrated in the Eastern Mediterranean.
This diving scientific trip took place between September 26th and October 3rd, 2010. It was the third Peau-Bleue scientific mission in the Kas area (south-western Turkey). Its goal was to continue our long-range survey of lessepsian fish (i.e. fish that migrated into the Mediterranean through the Suez canal) after the two previous missions (2004 and 2007). This is one of the very rare long-run scientific programs on lessepsian species. It has been implemented in cooperation with the laboratory ECOMERS (Nice University) since the very beginning. ...
The following volunteers participated in this mission: Alexandra Cappellini, Marie-France Choulat, Pierre-Yves Dande, Didier Delhaise, François Haffner, Christian Laubin, Laure Leduc, Murielle Pariset, Sylvie Pouget et Eric Wyss, under the scientific management of Patrick Louisy and Pascaline Bodilis (ECOMERS), with the logistic support of Murat Draman (Archipel Diving) and Blue Lagoon.
