You will find here all the photos and records of Lagoon swimming pipefish (Syngnathus sp.) registered so far in the Hippo-ATLAS. NB Initially, this species was -wrongly- thought to be identical to the Adriatic pipefish (Syngnathus taenionotus, which lives in contact with the substrate), but the observations received by the Hippo-ATLAS clearly show the difference. It is presently difficult to decide what scientific name should be retained for this species, but the Hippo-ATLAS data and photos may help resolving the question.
